Oh, SNAP! (Sorry, I'm on the West Coast)
Jon Stewart on Rove: Shows him denigrating possible Obama VP pick Tim Kaine for lack of experience

No link to that yet, but here's what Rove said:

"I think he's going to make an intensely political choice, not a governing choice," Rove said. "He's going to view this through the prism of a candidate, not through the prism of president; that is to say, he's going to pick somebody that he thinks will on the margin help him in a state like Indiana or Missouri or Virginia. He's not going to be thinking big and broad about the responsibilities of president."

Rove singled out Virginia governor Tim Kaine, also a Face The Nation guest, as an example of such a pick.

"With all due respect again to Governor Kaine, he's been a governor for three years, he's been able but undistinguished," Rove said. "I don't think people could really name a big, important thing that he's done. He was mayor of the 105th largest city in America."

Rove continued: "So if he were to pick Governor Kaine, it would be an intensely political choice where he said, `You know what? I'm really not, first and foremost, concerned with, is this person capable of being president of the United States."

1. Y'know what? The Obama campaign needs to break out some Tim Kaine
He's pretty much the only one who seems to be even close to Palin's lack of credentials (I'm sorry Tim!) and even then, he's a lot more qualified than she is.

2. Hmmm...are you thinking what I'm thinking?
Just substitute the name Palin for Kaine...

Yup.

It fits, doesn't it?

3. That was the point of the TDS bit. Showing Rove denigrating Kaine as a Dem VP possibility ...
... but then raving about the choice of Palin, who's waaaay less qualified than even Kaine.

But it's always a treat when I tune in. Thanks for the link!

6. I think that after two conventions back to back
and, apparently, two Fridays, they - Stewart and Colbert - took the week off.

As a DUers once explained to me: when it is new, it starts with today's date. Otherwise, it just starts with "This is the Daily Show with Jon Stewart."

8. Kaine is pretty good out on the circuit. Good talent.
Kaine is way more experienced than Palin but more to the point he is millions of times more fit.
