Joe Biden was the far superior pick to Hillary Clinton, and it's |
|
getting on my every nerve that his statement was distorted by the media, including the blogs. I don't know about you, but I know exactly what he was doing. Someone in his audience yelled out that they were glad he was selected instead of Hillary. Joe is the kind of friend who takes umbrage to anyone slamming a friend/colleague and making them look small. I will admit he went over the top on his "she would have been a better pick than me." We all know, at least I'm convinced, he was being generous to a fault and I hope it never happens again.
Hillary is a superb politician and knows how to fight her own battles. The media including blogs, have glommed onto his statement and it infuriates me. He was the better selection for all of those reasons that have been discussed to death on this and other forums. I'm taking every opportunity I get to eradicate the notion that he was not the best pick. Keep an eye on Joe in the coming weeks, when the boss gives him the "go" you can bet he will do his job.

I believe that. What do people expect him to say, oh no Hillary would have been a HORRIBLE VP pick -- then they'd be screaming that Biden was alienating women.
Biden knew exactly what he was doing. And I say bravo Joe!
Wait until he reduces Palin to ashes with his iron fist in a velvet glove style.

2. It's Repubs, pushing Dem infighting & trying to get Hill supporters, who keep saying Obama |
|
should've picked Hillary.
Now, for Joe to say that Hillary would've been a better pick than he....I GUESS I sort of understand what he was trying to do. But I don't think it worked.
By saying what he said, he in essence was saying that Obama MADE A BAD JUDGMENT CALL. Which he didn't. Biden was trying to pacify Hillary supporters, and he meant that IN SOME WAYS Hillary would've been a better choice, specifically politically. He was being self-effacing, humble, etc.
But I don't think it worked, really. But at least it got the media talking about him. So maybe that was the point.

3. Agreed. but the 2 senator ticket is inherently problematic. He should have picked Richardson IMO |

11. I think Richardson would have been a good choice, too, but I'm not disappointed with Biden. |

4. The good thing about this pick is that Biden has a son in Iraq |
|
Can you imagine if he didn't while both McNuts and Palin do? They would make such hay with that. We'd never hear the end of it.

would have been treated non-stop to hard-hitting stories about these old-time favorites:
-The Rose Law Firm -Whitewater -Vince Foster -Monica Lewinsky -Travelgate -Impeachment
Or don't you remember the 90s?
I read these posts on DU and think that Democrats have lost their minds.

You guys are whistling past the graveyard and you know it. With HRC we would have been 15 points up not stuck at 48 48 with McNuts.
But This is the team we have to go to war with.....so be it.
Be nice if Joe steps aside for the betterment of the party..............but, not going to happen that could backfire on us bigtime

8. WRONG! HRC going after Palin would have been perceived |
|
as a catfight. She has too much baggage. This is a done deal, Joe was the better pick. Hillary has her job to do and I have no doubt she will be superb. She has been so far.

10. Oh they know what he was up to and it scared them, hence the attempt |
|
to malign him once again, they are seriously showing how scared of Biden they trully are....he has us, remember that, and spread the word to all those you meet, don't allow the media to spin it out of control...its the ground game, and it has power..don't forget it..and they know it..
