Anyone who does not know what the "Bush Doctrine" is has no buisness
being in the White House,or even Congress.. They have no buisness being a governor. The "Bush Doctrine" is what got us into the war in Iraq, and left Al Qaeda to morph in Afghanistan.

Understanding how we got where we are now internationally is found in the "Bush Doctrine"

This has been the overriding philosophy that has alienated us from our allies. It has cost thousands upon thousands of lives, and it has left the architect of 9/11 Bin Laden to grow and recruit. It has left him to become a folk hero to thousands who have us in their gun sites.

Sarah Palin in that one question, demonstrated how unfit she is for the second in command, and more than that how unfit McCain is for command to pick someone so clueless.

No matter how angry we were with Gibson for his conduct during the debate. I am giving him his props for asking the one question that shows how unprepared Palin is, and even more than that how unprepared McCain is for choosing her.

1. I thought Gibson was bad....
time after time he could have asked some tough follow-up questions and he didn't. For example, regarding her experience he could have gine after her with comments made by rethugs that because she lives close to Russia she has the necessary experience.

3. As it was, she couldn't even handle the softball question..
she was embarassingly bad. Her handlers need to go back to square one. She's not getting it.

8. Don't you know that is exactly what it happening.
And it has been more than a little amusing watching the republican talking heads choking on how great she is. The one thing they had in their favor last night, was the democrats were taking a day off of campaigning, but gloves are off today :)

10. It is obvious to me that they put shrub's handlers on her..
I think the logic was that she was just as ignorant as he was, so they'd drill her on how to say nothing while looking confident and pretending you know what you're talking about. The problem was, she couldn't do it.

I guess living in Alaska all her life she's able to wing it when it comes to talking about issues up there, and she might actually be knowledgeable when it comes to that, but she was truly out of her league with Charlie Gibson last night.

12. It was almost painful to watch
and even more painful to try and listen to people defend her. It occurred to me,(being an older voter) that 30 years ago, this would have doomed their campaign. But with the 24 news cycle needing fresh meat every hour, and the talking hell hounds in place, they can keep her afloat.

But I think the American people independents have had it. The 30 percent who are die hard repubs will go down to hell singing her praises.

But that was a disaster for the republicans last night with that decisive middle I think

4. No one's going to be as tough as we'd like. I think he was reasonably fair.
I give him credit for asking decent questions and not throwing up softballs. In the end, he exposed her for the noob that she is.

14. Driving home from work, listening to the talking heads...
According to those no brains, Gibson was being unfair and mean to Palin??? and O'Reilly claimed he did not know what the Bush Doctrine was. No wonder those lame brains on the right kept voting for Bush.

6. Yep, but it was better than I thought he was going to do.
Again, that one question is going should be an ad, against both McCain and Palin. The "BD" is the cornerstone of why we are where we are.

Whether he meant to or not, he put a light on her that shined right through the rhetoric

2. No argument here. She was utter fail on every question.
War with Russia over Georgia? Following Israel blindly into rapture? No hesitation at being offered the vp slot because her commitment to reform gives her the ability and confidence to run the country? WTF does that mean? Hasn't met a foreign leader? It sounds like she doesn't know what the Monroe Doctrine is either.

7. She truly is a clueless person. Talk about doomed to repeat
a bad strategy, with a team like that (McCain / Palin) that is exactly what will happen

13. I wonder in the long run, how this will play to the people of
Alaska, I think they are getting a picture of St. Sarah that they did not have before.

16. Hi Dinoboy...because the Bush Doctrine is the reason
we are where we are in Iraq, and our status with the rest of the world. The thought that she Palin does not understand how we got where we are is scary.
