LOL this thing is over. Just like the primaries were. The mcsame palin ticket is finished. The more she is put on stage the worse for them it will get.
Sit back and enjoy the polls the next few weeks as the goof team spirals down into irrelevancy.
We are still looking at the bounce from the convention. Next week will bring the end of that bounce in the polls.
Stop wringing your hands we are doing just fine.

3. how long does a bounce usually last? |
|
This one may go on a little longer than average because of the media coverage of Palin.
But the actual things said about her don't seem so positive. In general I think the media is soured on her and on the old man. They don't give access and that has to make the media pissed. Also it's hard to keep a straight face when talking about them.

|
With little of the actual candidate being seen. Thats about to end abruptly. Yesterday I think showed the world the contrast between Obama and these two pretty clearly and that contrast will only continue to be shown more and more over the course of the next few weeks.
The debates will seal the deal once and for all.

Are you kidding? see all the anti-Obama threads today. Panic always ensues on DU |
|
and then somebody asks is Obama going to replace Biden with Hillary? if he did that he would be finished. You just don't replace the person you pick for VP for political expediency, but most people on DU are pretty ignorant of politics and live by the daily trakcing polls.

12. good thing DUers don't run the campaign--lol |
|
Obama picked the right guy, he really did. He's been a perfect running mate, in my opinion. He has not grabbed the spotlight or gone off in his own direction or made any gaffes. He's fit himself right into place perfectly.
He'll have a wonderful opportunity to serve once they take office. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

Look at DU today, a thriving troll populace is growing.
Obama is doing his job, and doing it well.

8. Have you heard today's McDopey talking points??? |
|
Edited on Fri Sep-12-08 10:18 AM by C_U_L8R
They are in full out confabulation and projection mode. McNumbnuts & Co are saying that the Obama campaign is crumbling in full-on panic. I've never guffawed so hard in my life at that bit of wishful thinking agitprop.
That giant flushing sound you hear? It's McCain going down,

The contrast between the two at the forum yesterday couldn't have been more striking.
The debates will end this farce once and for all.

14. I'm honestly not sure Texas won't go Dem as well (knock on wood) |
|
I believe we have a lot more registered D's than R's, more all the time.
Here in DeLay land I've been seeing Obama bumper stickers forever. Just saw my first McCain yesterday. ONE. Almost all the "W's" are gone, have been for a long time.
When I happen to talk politics with people, nobody pushes McCain and everybody is interested in the latest stupid thing he or Palin did.
Unless they steal it - we *do* vote on paperless wonders most places.
Not scientific, just my observations.
One can hope.

20. I doubt that, but it is nice to hear. I actually haven't seen a McCain sticker/sign AT ALL |
|
which seems odd thinking about it, but then again I do live in an urban area of Texas. I have seen a lots of Obama signs, more that I saw Kerry. Maybe if Barr can take a pretty significant part of the vote away from McCain (and he is popular in here).
Not impossible, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

I guarantee we pick up two ex-red Southwestern states though (sadly, not mine, Arizona, for fairly obvious reasons).

ignore it.
We have only had three days of non convention BS news and the consensus is pretty quickly becoming universal that palin isn't ready for prime time. At the same time Obama is running circles around mcsame in all his appearances.
The din of the media laughing at palin mcsame is growing louder and louder. As long as obama stays on message and resists the urge to go negative. We got this thing in the bag.

13. I have said it before |
|
and I'll say it again. Obama fought and beat arguably the most powerful election machine of our time... the Clinton machine. Some argue that that was just among Democrats. True, but irellevant. Team Obama always figures out a way to win. They ARE the smartest MFs in the room.

17. Well he has a big hill to climb in the GE |
|
But he laid a ton of the groundwork in the primaries and continues to do so. In the end it will be the registration drives he did country wide that will do it for him.
I actually think the media and apparently some DUers here pretending this thing is close will work in his favor as it will motivate people to get to the polls.
There is no question that racism will keep this thing close in the polls till the election. The voter turn out however will make the reality a blowout.
Thats my humble opinion.

he prevailed.

But your advice is WRONG, WRONG, WRONG!!!
DO NOT sit back, get out there and work your asses off.
There's nothing more dangerous than an animal that feels threatened. The Rove sqad is capable of ANYTHING.
Don't just work to win, work for a landslide.

if i did that certainly was not my intention. We need to talk to as many people as we can between now and Nov 4.
If I gave a different impression it was not my intent.
