Joe, Mika, Pat, and Willie
It doesn't matter what Obama does or does not say. What matters is what the media says he says or what he meant to say.

It starts early in the morning with the Scarborough show with Patrick Buchanan and other right-wing sycophants. They do have a few guests from the left-wing media, but no one can get a word in edgewise - not even Mika Bryzinski, the guest host. They spin the event the way they want and the rest of cable television follows suit for the rest of the day. And you thought MSNBC was a tool for the Obama campaign, huh?

A good example was this morning. How did Sarah Pain do in the Charlie Gibson interview last night? The worst that any "liberal" or "moderate" could say was that she was adequate. A potential war with Russia did not scare the cr*p out of any of them. Peggy Noonan suggested it was a winner for Palin because it made people want to hear more. Scarborough says even he did not know what the Bush Doctrine was. Rudy Guiliani said he was at a table with five other people and three of those did not know what the Bush Doctrine was either. So there is your spin of the day. Why should Sarah Palin know what most other people do not know?3

Scarborough then asks why doesn't Obama fight back? If someone calls me a "sexist", I would confront them immediately, he says. As Mika tries to get a word in edgewise, Joe interrupts her and goes off on a right-wing tangent. He gives the appearance of being a sexist pig.

The friction and animosity between Joe and Mika is not hidden from the average viewer. One of them will have to go. Any reporter or editorialist on the show gets short shrift if they do not agree with Joe's premise of the day.

Unfortunately, this show sets the tone for cable television for the rest of the day. The evening shows of Olberman and Matthews cannot undo the damage that Scarborough and Buchanan do at 4:00 AM in the Rocky Mountains. Scarborough is the Rush Limbaugh of cable talk news. Don't overlook the damage he is doing to America and the Obama campaign.

2. The new Obama "McCain Can't Use a Computer" ad is very ineffective.
Obama needs to get new ad guys ASAP.

3. I don't watch Morning Joe anymore.
But, even though Joe is a mega douche, Mika bothers me even more with her faux feminism. I would prefer her to get the ax...substitute her with someone who doesn't have Stockholm Syndrome and can actually shoot down Joe's douchebaggery, because it shouldn't be hard.

4. Don't forget the supper time finish to the day with the likes
of Lou Dobbs and David Gregory. They bring it home at the end of the day before people start taking care of their kids and household tasks.

6. Couldn't agree with you more
I stopped trying to even turn that show on. They all make me literally sick to my stomach.

When I see Pat Buchanan on any show on MSNBC I instantly turn the channel, even when he is on Rachel's show.

I remember when he was a host of Crossfire on CNN when it was first on (how many years ago, I can't remember) I got so mad at him I took off my shoe and threw it at the TV. Pat's RW BS has been bugging me for a long time.

8. Mika Bryzinski is impossible to watch
Edited on Fri Sep-12-08 11:57 AM by Robyn66
All she does is mug for the camera and nod approvingly at what Joe says or worse feign concern at what is going on with Obama. She is also a huge Palin fan so she can't be a "liberal" or even moderate voice.

Morning Joe is SO bad now I can't even watch a minute of it anymore.

I wish I could find some kind of liberal leaning morning show!
