If you don't like Obama's ads, maybe they weren't made for you.
They have a wide range of ads, running in local and national markets. Every ad is not made to appeal to your demographic or your idea of how the campaign should be ran.

Step back a little and realize that more is going on than your perspective.

1. I like the local Obama ads. They are excellent.
It's the 527s I worry about b/c his campaign has no control over them.

2. It was aimed at the young undecided voters.
It probably works quite well with them.

4. Totally agree. We are already committed!
The undecideds may be the very ones turned off with negative campaigning.

5. The undecideds don't seem to mind
McCain's hugely negative ads.

I don't think anyone would mind forceful ads from Obama.

thanks for making the point. I hope everyone who criticizes an Obama ad thinks about this possibility first.

think my mistake is that I keep trying to see things from the point of view of the undecided swing-voter, or the McCain supporter who is on the fence. This is just not possible. I am a Democrat. I cannot anticipate how a hypothetical swing-voter will react to anything, at this point.
