A Momentous Disregard for the Country's Well-Being.
That is what McCain has shown in his last-minute-please-dear-God-save-my-dying-candidacy choice
of Sarah Palin as his VP running mate. And Sarah Palin has met and raised him a hundred-fold by accepting
that nomination in spite of her lack of credentials, experience and knowledge.

It's like Michael Brown accepting his job as the head of FEMA, when all he knew about were Arabian horses.
He probably thought about it for all of a second and a half: Who could it hurt?

Do half of all Americans not see this? I am in disbelief at the staggering ignorance of those who do not acknowledge
the fact that John McCain is willing to toss his country off a cliff by putting this parochial, shallow-minded, inexperienced,
blantantly self-promoting and deceitful woman in a position of power, second only to the President of the United States
which she very well might become, given his age and medical history.

And he calls himself a patriot??

Please.

4. Right, by promoting the stupid stuff and not going near the essence of what this country's real
problems are.

2. I agree 100%
I find this whole thing personally offensive. Palin is an asshole, and John McCain has put us all at risk, the intelligent as well as the stupid amongst us. This has been nothing more than a cheap political stunt. The mouth breathers have bought into it.

3. My opinion - They see it as the very acceptable practice of resume padding. You accept
a position you know you're not qualified, institute some change or reform to increase profits or improve image then move on and hope to get the hell out before there's any traceable damage. It's the American, corporate way and perfectly acceptable - "no harm, no foul". Just another rung up in the corporate ladder. What turns my guts is that I believe half of Americans DO see it and are rather envious of the opportunity being afforded her.

6. This deserves a BIG kick & a rec!
Rovian projection of the grossest sort. Could there be any more egregious example of Campaign over Country? I don't think so.

8. Your Michael Brown analogy is spot on. Palin's ineptitude for the VP slot
is on an even larger scale, and could possibly endanger even more people.

9. That's exactly it, and that fact alone just blows my mind. Even Sarah Palin is not dumb enough
to think, "Oh, it'll be just fine; after all, what could happen?"

I mean, DAMN, these people have no conscience whatsoever. A bunch of ambition-driven sociopaths,
if you ask me.
