Rec this thread if you can do without all the 'Concern' being espoused here |
|
This forum allows for constructive criticism of the Democratic Nominee, but incessantly posting 'concerns' in the most negative of manners does nothing to support Obama or the Democratic Party.
In fact, the only goal of such postings is to garner reactions and spread doubt.
Let me make this clear, there is a big difference between posts saying "Obama did x wrong, let's do this to fix it" and posts saying "Obama fucked up just like Kerry, we're gonna lose" or "Obama's ads suck!! He should fire his staff and then lose!"
Why do people even waste the energy to produce posts whose only goal is to be defeatist or negative towards Obama? That is the million dollar question.....

It is amazingly easy to get involved from that site. If you're on DU, you're online and can go there and click your state.

One person's "constructive criticism' is viewed by others as negative and |
|
hand wringing.
It's my belief that those who may come across that way are upset, and it's their way of expressing the constructive criticism.
If we didn't CARE, we wouldn't become so emotional.
Some may not express it in the most positive way possible, but our intent and impetus is the same.

15. becoming emotional and upset is understandable, |
|
but why pollute the board with fear and doubt, when you could just as easily make a post about something we could do to make things better?

16. It's expressing their frustration. We tend to do that when something upsets |
|
us -- that's all.
I'm not saying it's helpful or that it's the best way to counter our concerns, but it's how we humans react sometimes.

11. I think it depends on how the concern is expressed. If expressed with constructive alternatives and |
|
ideas then I say more of it. That is what progressives are inherently about: debate, ideas (some even new), etc.
If it "concern" mingled with "despair" then I agree (plus with that kind of "concern" we might suggest the poster go elsewhere where despair is more in the nature of existence on a daily basis (e.g., Freerepublic)).

13. it's actually lack of concern for concern. |

If I was concerned about concern, I would be one of the concerned, right?
