26. Don't they hope to get a mass market version in production within a few years, though? |
|
The guy behind it is saying he thinks that the internal combustion engine will be obsolete within a generation, though I don't know how much of that is empty hype.

Sometimes that factor has to be recognized. Once again we're being slandered and slimed, and nobody knows quite what to do about it.
Hope this doesn't harsh your mellow.

29. Except it's not a "law"... |
|
...it's a rough description of how some things in the world sometimes work, and it's completely at odd with how a lot of other things work. For electrical charges, magnetic poles, and 90% of sexual attraction, opposites attract.
Yes, I did think about. Much more than you apparently have.

30. You raise good points, K4K. I was thinking about it in a different context |
|
More of a spiritual one, for lack of a better word.
One of my basic tenets is: "What goes around, comes around."
We are wise to be more aware of the energy we put out there. That's all I'm saying.

34. The problem here is trying to simplify human dynamics... |
|
...into notions like "positive energy" or "negative energy". That's like trying to analyze the weather as if it were a simple matter of some sort of mix of or balance between "good weather" and "bad weather". Both things, human dynamics and weather, are far too rich, contextual, and subjective to be treated as the result of simple dualistic forces. Is the rain that spoils your outdoor wedding reception but saves some wildlife from dehydration "good" weather or "bad" weather?
While "good vibes" can sometimes be a convenient rule-of-thumb notion, it's a big, big mistake to take that too literally, and imagine that there's literally some sort of "vibration" that goes out from people who are being cheerful and "positive" that induces other people to likewise be cheerful and positive.
If that were literally true, how would you propose to make sure your "positive energy" for helping Obama win won't get picked up by McCain supporters and "energize" them too? Do you fancy the McCain supporters are really so different from you that they "feed" off negative energy? Is there special "positive Obama energy" that has a unique "frequency" or "energy signature" so only Democrats can absorb the benevolent radiance?
One of my basic tenets: "What goes around, comes around. Except when it doesn't."
Life is too rich and complex to reduce to these kinds of nostrums.

40. It appears we view the world through different perspectives. |
|
but hey, that's cool.
I agree the world is complex. I agree dualistic thinking is a trap.
I'm more interested in what connects us all, rather than what separates us. I believe separation is an Illusion and we're here to remember our essential Unity and Oneness.
Fear and Negativity make us forget that essential truth. The corporate M$M plays a huge role in maintaining that deception.
Question: Is the glass half empty, or half full?
Perhaps it doesn't matter, and what we REALLY need to focus on is THE WATER.
Dems = Positive? Repubs = Negative?
Nah, too simple. I agree.
Choosing how we focus our energy and thoughts is a powerful way of creating Change.
