Wowzers, the librul press sure is sexist. From the Anchorage Daily News:
Charges of biased Palin coverage don't hold water, new study shows. The Chicago Tribune reported on results provided by Lexis Nexis Analytics, a service that measured the McCain/Palin coverage against the Obama/Biden coverage last week. There were surprises.
> Based on 6,027 Palin stories analyzed, Lexis Nexis found that 26 percent were positive, 22 percent negative and 52 percent neutral, refuting a claim that the media was harsh on her.
> Top of the ticket coverage has been identical, according to Lexis Nexis, refuting a claim that the media is biased in favor of Obama.
> Palin got 60 percent more coverage for the GOP than McCain had earned without her on the ticket. She got 10 percent more coverage than Obama from Sept. 1-7.
Lexis Nexis arrives at these conclusions by reviewing stories from 2,700 media outlets. Issues of tone are analyzed using a scientific algorithm in use since 1995 that finds key patterns in news stories and assigns them a positive, negative or neutral tone.
Now if you'll excuse me, I see a pig to my right that needs some more lipstick. It's always such a chore to keep it fresh after it gorges on all that slop.
