When Obama lost TX and PA and his supporters panicked? Remember the shot (whiskey) Hillary took and the shot (negative attack) Barack took for "guns, God & country"?
It was all over, right? Obama had lost it. He'd seen his finest moment with the "More Perfect Union" speech.
And where are we now?
I would argue that, watching Hillary Clinton's speech at the DNC was her finest moment. I've never been a Hillary fan - never hated or despised her, just never been a fan - but that speech - powerful.
What's my point? Well, look at Bill Clinton now. Barack Obama is resilient. He counter-attacks, as we say in chess. A great defender because he doesn't just defend, he counter-attacks.
And through it he manages to bring out the best in good people, to bring them together if they are willing to give their best to what's greater than themselves, and as a target, reveals the meanness of those who would be deceitful.

2. Yeah, I know, but the press said he lost - that was the point. |
