OMG! This has got to be the stupidest guy I've ever seen in politics. NO WAY will America elect this numnuts.

We rejoice in how stupid Palin looked last night---- but we should not forgot the recent past.

5. Yes, I know
just pointing out that America didn't want Bush in 2000. But I think (and hope) that most people have learned that wanting to have a beer with someone isn't a good enough reason for that person to be president or vice president.

2. I'm putting my hopes on
1. He was already in office and we were "at war" and most people still supported the war.
2. The average voter realizes now that maybe it wasn't such a great idea to have the guy you'd most like to have a beer with at the helm, given the past four years.

4. 2000: that's when I started to get it
I watched the first Gore/Bush debate, saw Gore mop the floor up with Bush, and then saw the pundits talk about how masterfully Bush performed. I really felt like I was losing it, like maybe I was uncalibrated and just didn't understand what everyone else was seeing. But my wife felt the same way, and so did several people I spoke to. That's when I started to slowly understand that the news, in all its various mediums and outlets, didn't always tell the unvarnished truth. It seems almost ridiculous to even type that now, but that's what I used to believe, that news outlets told the objective truth.

But maybe it's different this time around--McCain and Palin have sort of been burning the media. We'll see how it turns out.

8. BO/Biden have already lost the debates ...
Edited on Fri Sep-12-08 05:25 PM by Cosmocat
people have to start wrapping their heads around it, it is set in stone.

Just because the media has been pushing back a BIT, A BIT on McCain/Palin, they have not even STARTED to touch on the depths of it. AND, they are polling ahead a tick.

Make no mistake - ESPECIALLY if BO gets back to having a fairly unanimous lead in the polls - the "critque" from the debates will be this:

BO was EITHER too cerebral and policy oriented and did not connect with the voters OR was too high minded and inspirational without providing any meat, while McCain was CONFIDENT and ASSERTIVE - a win for McCain.

Palin - they already have stated their intentions, as long as she doesn't pass out, she wins in a debate with Biden.

9. Someone should bookmark this post, because that is exactly what the
mediawhores will say. Repugs revel in 'stoopid' and will make intelligence and logic a detriment in

the Obama/Biden debates.

7. You should also keep in mind that they weren't so much voting for Bush...
...as they were voting AGAINST Bill Clinton (he got a BLOW JOB!!!). Al Gore was just the unlucky one who had to take the beating.
