Obama Finally Questions McCain's Patriotism
"Just ask the Machinists in Pennsylvania who build Harley-Davidsons," Obama said of McCain's record. "Because John McCain didn’t just oppose the requirement that the government buy American-made motorcycles, he called Buy American provisions 'disgraceful.' Just ask the workers across this country who have seen their jobs outsourced. The very companies that shipped their jobs overseas have been rewarded with billions of dollars in tax breaks that John McCain supports and plans to continue.

"So when American workers hear John McCain talking about putting 'Country First,'" Obama said, "it’s fair to ask – which country?"

Um ... isn't that pretty much the dictionary definition of questioning someone's patriotism?

1. Now let's hear the same DUers who were whining about Obama not being 'vicious' enough cry that he
went too far.

7. I dont think he went to far- in fact, I would like Obama & DEM pundits to repeat this on TV shows.
Edited on Fri Sep-12-08 05:24 PM by Dr Fate
So far, all we have is a link to a blog. Swing voters & Low info voters will never find it there.

I'd love to see DEMS using this and talking points like it on more of those cable TV shows.

All the killer things he says in speeches need to be repeated, repeated, repeated on TV shows- circulating internet text is a great start, but I want more people to hear it.

I just wish he'd come out with rhetoric like this earlier and flooded the airwaves with it. Then maybe we wouldn't be in the crap position we're in.

12. John McCain asked for it
He has betrayed this Country in his political decisions, and he deserves to be called a traitor. I just called him that in a couple of other posts, and I truly feel it is appropriate.

I will say it again, John McCain has betrayed the American people and the Country as whole.

20. The two are absolutely connected, IMO.
Maybe you don't see it, but I think the relationship between the two is obvious. The American people have been sold out by their representatives (McCain, being one of them) for cheap labor we could not possibly compete against. We've been sold out by our representatives to provide corporate profits for their friends.

31. I hope he pounds on this one.
People are afraid for their jobs and even some of my more conservative-leaning, independent friends are alarmed and outraged at the outsourcing situation. If he could illustrate clearly that McCain is all for shipping our jobs to China/India, and that Obama will do something about it, he will win support in places where he needs it the most.
