23. I grew up in Ohio, and Cincinnati is the worst. |
|
I mean as far as being right-wing. It's down in the southern part of the state, which is more conservative, and the western part of the state, which has more farmers and less miners and steel workers. It's the union people in the mining/steel/industrial areas in the east and northeast who keep Ohio from being red. The union and the cities of Cleveland and Columbus, where people are more progressive.

But we moved to California when I was a kid. I often wonder if I would have been a staunch liberal if we'd stayed in Ohio.

42. I'm in California now. |

I lived in Ohio until I was 26. My father was Republican, my mother was, too, but eventually became a Democrat. I was liberal-minded since I was old enough to make any sort of judgment on human behaviors and situations. I don't know if it was my mother's influence, but I guess I could have gone the other way and been like my small-minded, bigoted father and his family.

2. I read some of the past polls |

Seems the people that frequent that site are Bush lovers. 58% in one poll said they would vote for Bush again if he would have a third term.
THAT is the kind of people that are out there in America. :(
