Who was getting the money for the bridge to nowhere? |
|
Edited on Fri Sep-12-08 05:58 PM by gulliver
Sorry if this has already been answered, but I've googled and googled. I thought someone might have already posted this. Maybe it wasn't just incompetence and waste. Maybe it was fraud. Am I the only one not in on the joke here?
Palin was for the bridge before she was against it. Ha ha, she flip flopped. She's not an earmark reformer like she said. Wow! She's a liar.
But wait just a doggone minute! What about the money?
I want to know who was going to get the money for that bridge to nowhere. That's hundreds of millions of dollars. "Embarrassing?" Are you kidding me? "Funny and incompetent and ha-ha wasteful?" Whuh? The money for it was real, green, and spendable. Somebody was going to get it. Somebody did get the part of the money Palin decided to keep. What's so funny?

1. Bechtel, is what I heard. |
|
I have a friend in the Coating biz, and he was in on some of the cost estimates.
Bechtel is getting a ton of Federal contracts after agreeing to stand aside and pick up the crumbs (actually, great big chunks of stuff) in Iraq.

2. From what I've read, she DID receive the money - and kept it, even after the plans for the bridge |
|
were scrapped.
I don't understand how this is possible (because it's beyond belief), but that's what I've heard.
