1. I wish
they could get some serious party computers working on checking all Dem and independent voter registrations rather than rely on this whispery word of mouth advocacy to clueless millions. This is hardly fighting harder telling people to save their vote if they can.

3. I could tell you that they are working on it, but you wouldn't believe it.
And someone else would pop in to say not enough not enough.

I just deleted it whether than listen to the crap.

We worked on the voter registration for the DNC for quite a while. It's good, it's organized.

Nothing will be enough here at DU...nothing the campaign does will be enough.

5. I DOUBT a third party would be allowed to get YOUR voter info.
Even a political party! I suspect you'd have to do it yourself.

7. Given
the difficulties(and I apologize for anything that might demean the party efforts) I simply wish we could get things into every hand and support for every voter underneath a system overtly hostile to their rights to anything. A huge mailing across the nation or in regions according to need like a voter's guide, handbook, checklist. Obama is running a great campaign. I have been wrong in everything I would wish to be wrong and humbled by professionals doing their job. That is how it is supposed to be, must be, and Obama continues to amaze.

As a phone banker you get a list of registered voters. There are always people who have died, moved or the landline phone number simply does not work. The GOP see this as an opportunity to cage people while we try to make the system work getting at a percentage of people hopefully at a good time with just the right message. We juggle a load of bricks up to the wall we would build and the GOP merely tries to stick their foot out.

My main dismay(s) having nothing to do with the Obama campaign at all except that it is just part of the good guys' general weakness and the party's general mistakes. No one can take the rap for all that, neither Kerry, Clinton or anyone. If I had really good ideas that hadn't been thought before I wouldn't be pontificating here or rehashing the usual frustrations.

Multiple apologies. I think we are winning and fighting much more than last time. The GOP has denied us extreme confidence. That too works against them. They don't get the win/win crooked strategy this year.
Next week I vanish into the phone banks for Eric Massa as much as possible and ocasionally post about his race. His stands and methods are very much like Obama's. We are doing things a lot better with a lot more funding and support and experience. The cheat factor will not beat that.

4. GREAT IDEA! We need to pin this info to the top of the page so EVERYONE gets the info!
Either that, or pin a link to the "vote for Change" site!

It's not only important to make sure everyone you know is registered, but to check your registration to make SURE nothing has gone wrong! I'm very afraid for the people who had foreclosed homes, or have had to move. With all the problems they've had to face, updating their voter registration is NOT at the top of their to do list!

6. If you got the email, you need to post it. I am tired of the fighting over
anything the campaign does so I deleted mine.

Voter registration is going on all over the country, but you think there was effing nothing going on.

Why don't you post the email. I am heading out of this GDP for a while.

It is nuts here.
