Palin Earmark Requests from February 2008
Palin Earmark Requests from February 2008

When John McCain on The View was challenged about putting a candidate on the ticket who has been one of the most aggressive people in the country in terms of going after federal earmarks he responded. "Not as governor she didn't."

Well, you might want to check your facts there, Senator McCain.

Here they are. Dated February 15, 2008. Sarah Palin's earmark requests for FY 2009:

Is she going to withdraw these requests?

This is a legitimate question. John McCain has built his campaign around his opposition to earmarks and then he chose a running mate who is the number one earmark requester in the country.

This is a bloody joke, right?

1. John McCain obviously doesn't know a damn thing about his own campaign
They must be keeping him in the dark. He's just the chief spokesperson for the Palin campaign now.

2. She told Charlie that some of those requests were in response to the Alaskan Research Division, i.e
. the same Research Division which she ignored in re Moose:Wolf studies.

3. Their servers must be getting slammed

Can't get through to the docs in question: http://stevens.senate.gov/earmarks/Approps-StateofAlaska.pdf

Anyone have any luck that can summarize the earmarks?
