Palin comment that bothered me the most
This is not a direct quote, but she said, "We have a mission to change this COUNTRY." Not to change Washington, but to change the country.

That was probably the most truthful thing she said all night. She wants to force her values on all of us infidels out here in the "lower 48."

4. I feel fairly confident in betting that...
McCain's attention was directed to Sarah Palin by the PNAC. They are, after all, the creators of Bush II.

2. I agree! That is the statement that has haunted me, too.
Sarah, describe who WE is. Describe CHANGE! Is Dobson and his crew leading the charge? Hmmmm?

I don't trust her and if I was McGoo, I'd have a food taster after the election is over (in the event they win, that is).

This has all happened too fast, too slick and is too scary. She didn't just come out of nowhere, she has been in the wings, waiting to come out and take over. God help us all.

6. She said "we" a lot. I supposed most politicians do, but from her it sounds not quite right
I don't know why. Perhaps because she's supposed to be some kind of "maverick" - like a loner?

7. I'm afraid her "we" is the RW nuts of the evangelical kind.
Those guys have too much influence on our government and I don't like what I'm seeing. Their main concerns are Roe v. Wade and oil.

3. I've worked in Alaska and she doesn't represent their values. Most people are libertarian on social
issues up there--live and let live.

5. Yeah, knowing what sentiments she's expressed in settings where she thought no one was listening
I am scared of her.

All of her talks in front of those fringe places like the Assembly of God and AIP... yeah... and she tries to make a big deal out of Obama's bitter comments?
