Joe Biden is one of the best debaters in the party; it's one of the reasons why Obama chose him |
|
Knowing that, would any thinking person go out of their way to give him even more incentive to be at his best on October 2 for the VP debate?
Fortunately for us, Sarah Palin went there. Obama regrets not choosing Hillary? Whatever. Here's some advice, Sarah: Next time, cover your ass and say something like, "but Joe Biden is a formidable choice as well." Then again, keep being the obnoxious person that you are. We like Joe when he's fired up and ready to go.

1. As someone stated before, Palin would not even be McCain VP if Obama had picked Hillary |

She should be thanking Obama for picked Biden. It's because of Obama that McCain needed a token female vice president and not someone who is actually qualified for the presidency (in values and knowledge.)

2. I'm praying to GOD Obama doesn't answer that. That's for Biden to answer.... |
|
Obama should ONLY address McCain, McCain's lies, McCain's inadequacies, McCain's bad memory, and McCain's inability to come up with anything that will help the American people. I hope to God Obama doesn't continue the Mr. Nice Guy thing. :( I'm about to implode here.

Biden will be at his best being serious and answering questions and discussing the issues as if they mean something.
Barbie? Not so much - even with an earpiece and the questions ahead of time.

I've watched him while he chairs committees and his humor is sarcastic and biting and he comes off as extremely likable.

7. I like Joe Biden and I'm difficult to please sometimes. Joe is one of us. He's smart and he's |
|
got the fire in his belly.
I'm liking that SP is underestimating. Shows her inexperience.
I'm thinking McCain regrets not choosing Hillary. But that's just me.

8. Joe was frighteningly good in the early debates |
|
and I flirted heavily with supporting him back than. I remember other candidates saying, "Joe is right" about numerous issues in those early days. His intelligence and thoughtfulness, not to mention the extraordinary depth of his experience, clearly establish him as someone who could be President should the need arise. Not to mention that after 36 years in DC, he remains a remarkably Regular Joe who can communicate effortlessly with other ordinary Joes and Joannes.

9. Is there only going to be one VP debate! |
|
This is not good. Gwen Ifill is moderating?
Who is drawing up the topics and questions?
Maybe this should be it's own thread. But I don't want another "debate". This is Palin's one chance to get her foot in the door. A real debate with Biden would have her reeling in the first round.

10. I used to watch Joe during senate business - |
|
when the senators were arguing over some thing or another, Joe would show up on the floor, say a few words and calm everyone down. I liked him before he was ever considered for VP. When I see him and Barack together, man, best president-vice president combination I have seen in years.

12. Obama would be the one worry for the debates... |
|
Just try to recall the primary performances (never stellar). Add to that the 'lowered' expectations of the grumpy old man going against the great speechifyer and you have a potential problem.
