Does anybody else think that Obama is pulling his punches right now
because Palin and McSame are virtually self-destructing before our very eyes? As many have pointed out recently, mostly in worried tones, Obama has yet to really go on the offensive against McSame and may be making some of the same mistakes that Gore and Kerry made in their respective campaigns in terms of lack of aggressiveness but based on the negative press regarding McSame and Palin that is slowly accumulating, wouldn't it make a lot more sense for Obama to step aside for the moment and just let them continue to shoot themselves in the foot while he takes "the high road" and focuses on the issues and his "ground game"?

Palin even crashed and burned in an interview that we all probably assumed would end up being a "puff piece" and McSame is spending most of his time whining and repeatedly getting trapped in the massive web of lies that he (and Palin) have constructed so much so that the corporate media is (finally) taking notice. I have a feeling that Obama's strategy is to allow them to disintegrate to a certain point and then deliver the "knockout" blow at the appropriate time (closer to the election).

What does everybody else think about this? I could be wrong but I believe that Obama's lack of aggressiveness is actually quite intentional and specifically designed to lull McSame/Palin into a false sense of security so that they will drop their guard-and then overplay their hand (which they seem to be doing with a vengeance). I don't believe that Obama would've gotten his campaign this far only to simply allow McSame to pick it apart and destroy him that easily and, frankly, McSame/Palin's attacks on Obama/Biden are rather lame compared to some of the stuff that Gore and Kerry had to deal with.

VERY important. Right now, they're hanging themselves with the rope they brought to lynch Obama. Let them do it to themselves and anyone who cares, if there are any, can cut them down the day after the election.

3. Frankly, he's pulled his punches to such an extent that when he doesn't, it's not apparent.
Basically, he's established THE rep as the one who's classy. He's actually being very smart and using the stereotype that Dems are incompetent campaigners who can't throw a punch to his own benefit. At least, that's what I believe. All this handwringing probably helps the illusion that he doesn't know what he's doing and helps to push the meme that the GOP is a party of fucking liars.

4. I'm inclined to agree
I have a sense that Obama and Ax and Plouffe really have a better sense of what's at play here.

5. Does anybody have that fictional Obama "message to DU" that I've seen posted here?
With the picture of Obama about having things under control? Could somebody provide me with a link to that? Thanks!

6. From what I can remember watching him in Chicago all these years
he usually allows them a lot of rope then swoops in and hangs them with it...Jack Ryan in Chicago had a photographer follow Obama around everywhere, told him not to leave his side, bathrooms everywhere trying to get anything he could use...Obama just laughed and let the guy follow him - even going so far as to tell people to make sure to give him room so he could keep him in site at events...then when the photographer went to far (following him in and filming in (at) an urinal)Obama sued him and won the suit...Of course Jack Ryan had to drop out in disgrace because of a sex scandal, but I think Obama would have won that one anyway...

So yeah, he's giving them rope...

9. If this is any indication as to how he will govern...
.... then it just confims the MAIN reason why I'm voting for him.

Better to wait things out a week and see what happens than to, oh, say, INVADE A SOVERIGN NATION WHO HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ORIGINAL PROBLEM!!!!
