OK, I know this is nit-picking and kind of silly, but...
Do you remember all the hoopla when Hillary Clinton showed a little clevage during the primaries? Why are we not hearing anything about the clevage Cindy McCain keeps showing on more than one occasion? The last time was on The View. I know this is a silly thing to bring up, but it goes to the fact that the Repukes jawed about Hillary on the subject, but we hear nothing about Miss Cindy. Is this another one of those double standards?

5. Where do you think the phrase "colder than a witch's tit" came from?

4. No, It Makes Sense
Face it, Hillary Clinton is not really one to play up her feminine side. She usually projects a strong image. That's why conswervatives and so many men dislike her, they don't know how to deal with a strong woman who plays their games by their rules.
So, when she showed cleavage it was surprising because it was so UNLIKE Hillary to play up her feminine attributes.

Cindy McCain has never wavered from the feminine image. That's not to say she's weak, but that she never gave the image of one who plays - and plays hard - with the boys.

Besides, Hillary is running for President, Cindy McCain is an aspiring First Lady. Our President (and Vice-President) should be strong, confident and professional. Cleavage, however enjoyable for the boys to see, is not professional. A First Lady is supposed to be in a support role, maybe even window dressing.

So, it's not really a double standard for Cindy vs. Hillary - it goes more to the root of our ideas of gender.

Of course, Governor Palin is turning all that on it's head by crafting an image that is feminine and tough and professional. In a way I grudgingly admire her that, but when I consider the reality behind it that regard is replaced by a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach.
