Perky is enough criteria to be President
Edited on Sat Sep-13-08 10:34 AM by Armstead
That's the depressing thought that strikes me whenever I see and hear about the support for the Palin/McCain ticket.

"She's perky. Therefore she deserves my vote."

I'm not saying that in a sexist way. GW Bush is perky in a male way.

Hillary is not perky. Neither are most of the other highly qualified women (including some GOPers) who might run for President or Vice President.

But Christ on a Cracker. How many morans out there want to settle for perky after eight years of a disastrous male perky president?

3. Literally anyone can be President now. 6 years to complete a BA in journalism? No prob--
hell, in the future we'll require our Presidents to have no higher than a high-school diploma, because anything more than that would be elitist and threaten the rednecks and make them feel bad. Less than 2 years of statewide office? No problem--that's plenty of time to show how you can use the power of the office to settle a personal score and promote your cronies. Srsly, we have all been historically conditioned to think that a President should be a smart, accomplished, deep-thinking individual who has national-level policy experience and a vision for the country aside from lots of rescued fetuses, but if Chimpy lowered the bar, McCain/Palin knocked it down altogether.
