1. I fear our national nightmare may not be over
I still remember watching Bu$h during primaries, debates.....thinking the guy was such an IDIOT, there was no way he could be elected.

McCain leading Obama? I fear our national nightmare may not be over.

4. Our slogan should be...
The Democrats were right in 2000 about Bush, they were right in 2004 about Bush, and they are right in 2008 about McCain. Vote Obama.

2. Its going in the right direction. His "bounce" has gone from a high of 6 points down to two
That is statistically a tie people.

3. I find it hard to believe McCain, in reality, polling even in the low 30% range
let alone 40 something percent. I truly believe the polls are purposely skewed to give the impression that McCain is competitive. Personally, I just don't buy it.

5. I don't either. I'm really suspicious of the polls.
Here's what I see. An incumbent President with 20% approval ratings. A war in Iraq, not ending anytime soon. The economy is bad, with people being pessimistic about it.

And McCain is even THIS close?

I just don't buy this "McCain is competitive" stuff. It just doesn't smell right.

9. You're forgetting a key point... Obama is black.
Certainly, that doesn't matter to US... but it matters to a lot of dirt bags out there.

7. Having McCain anywhere NEAR Obama in the polls is a TRAVESTY
Which is it?

1. Americans are CRIMINALLY STUPID

2. The media LIES to them and they're too busy to do the math themselves

3. A combination of the above

4. ************(This is the one I really really hope is the difference) Are they polling people with cell phones? Does this skew the numbers?

or last but not least

5. The Polls are BULLSHIT intended to skew public opinion

13. A combo of 1 and 5.
The polls may be bullshit, but after eight years of Bush, the American people cannot be seen as anything LESS than criminally stupid.

8. Gradually, equilibrium returns.
I am not sure if Obama will be "allowed" to pull away in the polls. The media loves a horse race, to the point that they can and will manufacture one with the polls.

10. this is exactly why they were so biased in favor of McCrap until
recently. Now they pulled him ahead, they have to pull him back so they can get all the attention they want.
