What was happening in here in the fall of 2005? The number of low volume posters |
|
from Oct and Nov 2005 showing up is amazing. All with post numbers under 100 many under 25 so these names have been sitting dormant for 3 years. And they are all so anti Obama. Well makes one wonder if there was not a push to get memberships to plant seeds in the election a few years down the road.
Or maybe there was something very exciting going on in here that fall, that has not happened since, including the 2006 election and the primaries, that suddenly has these dormant posters coming out to warn us????
Hey I have been in here just since April, and have somehow acquired over a 1000 posts, so I find that some many dormants suddenly showing up, must have been quite a fall that year of 2005.
So what was happening then?? Inquiring minds would love to know.

4. If they were laying in the weeds they could have done better than that. |
|
In 3 years a post a day would have put them over 1000 posts and that is all that many people look at to gauge someone's authenticity. It is not hard to get to 1000 posts here. I see people who have easily gotten 1000 posts in a month and I did it myself once. Generally I prefer to post when I actually have something to say, though.

9. Actually it really is not about the number of posts. |
|
But I think I have counted 8 or 9 all from 10/2005 or 11/2005.. and some with counts like 8 or 12 .. and all very concerned with Obama, or madder than old wet hens at Obama for not ripping out McCains jugular with his bare hands.
But all mad at Obama. So maybe there was something that had them madder than hatters in 2005, and I could not remember what would be getting people so juiced in 2005.

5. Low post-count arguments always bug me a little |
|
I've been here since Sept. 2004 and I haven't hit 1000 posts, but I spend several hours a day here. I just don't often respond to many threads.
Now, granted, low-posters who are almost entirely negative in what they are saying are a different matter entirely, but just remember that some of us simply don't post a lot. Doesn't mean we're not involved in other ways.

7. You know... they really aren't that well organized. |
|
You're giving them a little too much credit.
I expect trolling to be pretty ad-hoc... like the posts that come up here that say "let's go hit this poll".
But this is just from a guy with a few hundred posts.
