No coincidence . . .
Does anyone remember the show, Commander in Chief, with Geena Davis?. . . The potential for parallels in the story line are striking.

I would have a hard time believing that this television production from 2005 wasn't considered when brainstorming ideas for the 2008 Republican ticket... This was one of the most popular shows on television that year, especially among women.

From wikipedia:

Commander in Chief is an American drama television series that focused on the presidential administration and family of Mackenzie Allen (portrayed by Geena Davis), the first female President of the United States, who ascended to the role after the previous chief executive, Teddy Bridges (played by Will Lyman), died in office from a sudden cerebral aneurysm.

I honestly don't know what to think of this comparison. Working mom with small children in the White House. The whole family values angle...

I searched to see if anyone else had noticed the similarities but found no discussion on DU. My mother mentioned it to me this morning. I had forgotten all about this show until today.

It just seems to me that SP is being groomed for more than VP...

7. I hope you're right FrenchieCat . . .
I always wondered why the show was cancelled at the height of its popularity. 'Commander in Chief' was at the top of its game when they started playing musical time slots with it. I always suspected that they killed it because of the comparisons it was drawing to the idea of Hillary Clinton as president.

It really was a popular show, especially among women, that garnered nominations for multiple awards (at least 13) with wins in more than one category including a Golden Globe for Geena Davis. That fact (female demographic popularity) cannot have gone without notice...

8. Our creative endeavors today
help manifest our tomorrows. If you are aware of the illusionary effect of our world, you'll understand how something like this occurs. This isn't the only show or novel that's manifested in our world. It won't be exact but they'll be lots of parallels.

For example, there was a book called Titan describing a liner hitting an iceberg, with lots of parallels... but it was written 14 years before the crash.

There's a whole lot of odd stuff going on in our reality that few comprehend.

9. Life has always felt illusory to me . . .
I believe that there is an uncanny correlation between reality and Hollywood.

Every election cycle, I'm reminded of 'Wag the Dog'...

10. I'm just glad those that read the Left Behind series
haven't evolved enough mentally and spiritually to manifest it ; )

Our thoughts today become our reality tomorrow. Our thoughts are the script; our brains the recorder/projector for the movie of our physical world. We'll understand that when we learn more of matter at the quantum level of matter and below.

The more something is pictured in a lot of minds, the more chance it has of floating up. For example, 911 manifested in some stock indices on the anniversary dates. That's cause it was on so many minds. Here's one story on it:
