And he always goes one step beyond that, adding something with deep insight that allows us form our own opinions and consider an angle we most likely hadn't thought of, or couldn't find the words to express.

Having been outside of the country for many years and cut off from the progressive community I have recieved 100 times more knowledge and insight from the posters on DU than the small amount I have been able to contribute.

Doing more travelling now and it is a big shock on those days to not be able to log onto DU and get a clear, well informed and richly snarkish point of view.

Again thanks for your kind words and even more for all of the thoughtful threads and responses that give life to this community that really is the best example of what the founders of this country had in mind - a committed group of patriots that love their country and will continue to fight for its better angels.
