-----PEOPLE, Listen UP, I Had a GREAT Idea today----- |
|
I went to eat with a friend. When the bill came, I told her I would pay for it. We had been talking about politics for the entire meal. She supports Obama too. Anyway, when the bill came, I paid with my Visa debit card, and had to sign the slip. I filled in the tip and signed it, but not before I added;
OBAMA/BIDEN08 right above my sig.
I plan to do this with EVERYTHING, and I mean everything, I sign going forward, and I recommend everyone do the same. It may not get us any voters, but it WILL show people how strong Obama's support is.
Do it.
:-)

38. Hey, I was a waitress when I was younger.... |
|
so I get it. But he was a very good waiter. I ordered the baby back ribs, and was slightly annoyed that when they showed up, for $17.00, there were only 8 tiny, tiny ribs on the plate. So I thought, no biggie...this is the economy we live in. But when I got to the second small rack, they were so over cooked, that they were like jerky. I asked him to send them back, and he gladly did so. When he came back, he brought me a clean plate, with nothing but ribs on it, and I'm telling ya, there were about 20 ribs on it!! And, they were perfect. He was very apologetic as well, and he knew I would never be able to eat them all, so be brought a box with him to the table.
What service!!:-)

Leave a nice tip, and then above or below the tip line put something like "If you help me elect Obama in November, i'll be able to afford to leave you a bigger tip next time"!

11. Works better when you write it on money |
|
More people see it as it gets around.
Especially $1 bills.
People pay attention to writing on money. They don't expect to see it.

I put a tip for the woman who cuts my hair in a little envelope and write "Thanks!" Since I have been going to her for 2 years and feel like I know her, I don't presume to tell her how to vote. She doesn't talk about politics (I guess I can't blame her). So I feel it would be rude for me to impose on her this way.
I prefer to talk up issues with people and try to persuade, mostly with a lot of humor...

No, I write my name on the envelope. I want her to know I appreciate her work. |
|
I feel it is only right to do this. She works hard and is on her feet all day. Kids and 2nd marriage take a lot out of her. I try to speak to her woman to woman about McCain's adultery. Haven't had a chance to talk to her about Palin, but I will do so next visit. I hope by that time Sarah is so discredited that she won't be worth talking about!

It's up to you and it's very personal, I understand. You are probably much more genial than me. I tend to get too emotional; I"m very angry therefore not the best ambassador. I wish I had your skill with humor and persuasion. I'm working on it.

who needs the money. Without any proof, I can't say she's a fascist. All I know is she doesn't talk about politics. I don't blame her.
But I don't think she is. I think she's going to vote for Obama, I really do. A fascist would have said something long ago.
And after all, we're in New Haven, a REALLY Dem town...

25. In 2004 I got a haircut from a guy that had been cutting my hair for years. |
|
His shop is in a little plaza type mall. I parked right in front & he was smoking a cig outside. I had several Kerry & anti-boosh bumper stickers in the back window of my truck. He came around to the back of my truck to read the stickers & grunted. He chopped the crap out of my hair. Worst cut I've ever had - awful! I never went back.
I didn't feel like I was imposing - who knew he'd be outside? But your point is well taken.
I laugh now cuz my hair's grown out, but I was pissed then.
