A question about the Antichrist

I don't know much about the prophecy, or whatever you call it, but I think I read that a religious person was going to propel the Antichrist onto the world stage. Is this true?

5. "When Fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross."
You could say the same about the Anti-Christ.

And you could call Sarah Anti-Christ Barbie.

10. Well, the pronoun "he" is used often, and he is referred to as the "Son of Perdition"
And if he presents himself as a counterfeit Christ, then one would assume he's male like Christ.

However, while there is only one "capital A" AntiChrist, there are many small a antichrists, and Palin certainly could be one of them.

7. The antichrist is not human-it's
GREED, if it's anything at all. Not sure I believe the bible is all that revelatory.

8. Not a believer in the anti-christ, however, Bush Cheney are not yet gone.
I doubt they can really look forward to retirement. John Paul II openly speculated about Bush.

9. Popular fundie interpretation of the story is as follows......
The Rapture, and the sudden disappearance of millions without any visible explanation, along with all the chaos that would be caused by such an event (i.e. from vehicles whose operators suddenly ceased to be driving/flying/whatever) will cause such worldwide chaos, and in the midst of this chaos, a leader will emerge, virtually unknown before this time, who will make so much sense to all the traumatized millions that the world will practically beg him to become the leader of this "emergency" one world government. This figure will be the Antichrist, and he will have associated with him a religious leader known as the "False Prophet" who will eventually head up the AC's world wide religion.

This is the plotline of the Left Behind book/movie series and pretty much any other book or movie that the fundagelicals have put out on the subject.

AC will ensure loyalty to him through the "Mark of the Beast" (which would probably be some sort of RFID chip or maybe a barcode tattoo) through which all financial transactions will be done, and will probably be the official form of identification. This based on the scripture in Revelation 13 that says "no man may buy or sell" without the Mark of the Beast. The Christian Resistance in the Left Behind series managed to put together their own underground economy to get around doing business with AC and his minions, but that might prove more difficult in a global all seeing technologically savvy dictatorship than the authors of those books suggest.

13. The anti christ will come from rome...but this is the thing that
is best to remember.. When John of Patmos wrote Revelations, it was written about Rome. The early church fathers debated and debated about including Revelations in the final approved biblical text..(there were many many more gospels that did not make it).. soooooo if you really believed that the tribulation was going to happen, you would more likely believe that ww2 was the start..

14. Foget the Revelations stuff...
That John must have been eating some rye with the psychotic mold on it.

Remember, it all came to him after he was living in a cave for a good stretch of time.

If everyone would just listen to what Jesus had to say, we would all be in a better place.
