In Ten short days, Obama has discredited the McCain Brand
Think about it. Through press release, pressure on media types, ads, and "lipsticks" on a pig, the Obama crew has succeeded in getting the press to portray McCain and Palin as liars and frauds. This would have been unthinkable even two weeks ago.

For all those who say that Obama doesn't attack, think on that. Will it reap rewards, or just keep it close? We shall see. But all those just now noticing that McCain/Palin got the LIAR tag attached to it, do not suppose that something like that happens by accident. It doesn't. It has to be created.

Consider further: just because you don't SEE a smash-mouthed attack, don't suppose that aggressive tactics are not in play. We should judge effective politics by results, not your perceptions of the day-to-day.

In this case, a man generally considered to be a "war hero" and "straight talker" by independent voters has been turned symbolically into a liar and serial exaggerator in two short weeks or so. It's an astounding achievement, and it wasn't a gift. It was a strategy.

1. We shall see
I hope to agree with you and it appears things may be heading that way but it's too soon to say if it has legs yet.

5. McCain has been swiftboating himself
Obama has been doing OK, but McCain really has been swiftboating himself with his cynical campaign. Let's hope as many people catch on as possible, before he tries to reverse direction.

6. McCain gave Obama an opening and Barack took it
Anyone see "Reformed Maverick" on the Daily Show? It picked apart just how far McCain has fallen from his "maverick" status.

12. I've been saying this for a long time. You have to set things
up well in advance, keep your powder dry, build a case and time it right. That's what Obama has been doing briliantly. The first position was to seized the high road and stay on it. Not just say you're doing it like McCain did, but actually sticking to the high road.

Now he has the treaure that never empties. All purpose cleaner. Handles anything that rears it's ugly head, grease, dirt, smears, whatever. LOL
