A question for our DU Hispanic Friends
I live in Ohio now and do not see any Hispanic television like Univision or Entravision. (I used to live in South Florida so I did see more of it.) Is Obama running Hispanic radio or TV ads? Anyone in Houston, Dallas, LA, San Diego, NYC or Miami/Lauderdale? I'd love to know.

1. I seldom watch it so I don't know. I will put one of the stations on now
and get back to you.

3. Yes...not necessarily Hispanic people but anyone fluent enough
in Spanish to know what the ads are saying. I know when I lived in Florida my Hispanic neighbors always had one of the Univision stations on. I love Telemundo...when that clown rides the little tricycle around the bathing suit wearing women. I have no idea what they are saying but it sure looks entertaining.

called "Al Punto"?

10. California never gets many Prez ads..it's gotta be a blowout for the dem or he is gonna lose big
Usually the repub doesn't really try for California. Bush is so unpopular here I doubt that McCain has a real chance.

But during the primary Barrack had "se Pueda" rallies or something like that that means "yes we can" all over LA.

11. Good question
I've been in Washington state for a couple of years and (not that I watch much TV), I don't even know if there is a spanish language channel here? Doesn't make sense, if you ask me. However, I will ask my sister in Houston whether she has seen any ads. That is, if I can get a hold of her. I'm not able to get through by phone to any of my family :( More to the point, they may not have power for a while, as you probably already know.

12. All I'm finding is the Miss Venezuela pageant
Nice Caracas! I don't understand everything she is saying but I think it has something to do with world peace and stuff.

13. I was able to catch the news on Univision.
There were no ads about either Obama or McCain, but they advertised a political talk program called "Al Punto", which means "to the point" where Obama will be a guest and will talk about immigration issues among other issues. They also aired a bit where the host talked about Sarah Palin as person with no credibility. It should be fun. It airs Sunday, 10:00 a. m. eastern and 9:00 a.m. pacific.
