7. I've really come to like Joe Biden and miss not hearing

about him so much now BUT I read he's going to be taking on more responsibilities in the campaign and you can bet we're going to be seeing a lot more of him and his grasp of the policies that will be NEEDED for the CHANGE in the US.

I had a dream the other night about this little cute baby(fat cheeks, big smile) who his parents named Biden..so everytime I see Joe's name I think of that baby Biden:*

15. His love for his family

I'm watching the CNN "Biden Revealed" and have been bawling like a baby. The passage he read in his book when he asked Jill how could she love him and want to marry him when he loved his first wife so much, and Jill said that is BECAUSE she wanted to marry him - because if you can love that much once, you can do it again. Oh, my heart. And the way his children look up to him...

Oh, and all the other millions of qualifications.

It shows he has some humility. It shows he knows you can't live your life in the past, even if you never forget it.

As for Jill's response, wow, what a great response. This shows a woman who is confident, patient and not jealous.

It says a lot about her too. I'd love to see her speak - is she out on the campaign trail? It's funny, I have no driving urge to see Obama, Michelle or Biden, but now I want to see Jill!

Especially that he created VAWA. I work with domestic violence survivors and he is a true HERO in this field. So this establishes him as a strong advocate for women in my book. I also like how knowledgeable he is about foreign policy. He truly seems like a master of this subject, and I like that Obama picked him even though they have some differences on policy. And I am also very impressed with the kind of father he is, and how he is a man of the people, riding the subway, personally engaged with his constituents. He has the rare quality of being equally at ease with Joe Six-Pack and with foreign leaders. He's a scrapper! Great, brilliant choice on Obama's part. Don't get caught up in the "Obama should have picked Hillary" spin now being promoted by the Republicans. They would not have been "praising" her as a wonderful saint like they are, but would have been vilifying her as the devil, which they always have done. I love Hillary but I think for many reasons that Biden was an excellent choice, and the best choice!

20. He has NOT EVER abused his position of authority...EVER!!!

Not in 36 years - as Chair of the Jud. Committee - as Chair of the SFRC - he owns no stock - he is beholden to no one BUT the voters - he's honest - he's educated - he loves his wife and mom and children and ALL his family.

There is LITERALLY not enough words in the english language to describe how wonderful of a person Joe Biden is!!

22. Can't Believe No One Posted This

Oh, it was published several weeks ago, but how about a reminder since we've been distracted by more recent developments in the race.

It's about him taking the train to work everyday (well, not now that he's running for VP) and how well he gets along with...well, everybody. Sometimes he'll buy coffee for all the passengers in the car, he jokes with the ticket sellers, that sort of thing. He's thrown parties for the conductors. This is a man who doesn't treat people differently based on their economic or social status.

the other interesting tidbit is that before he started taking the train (when he drove) he had a car phone. Now this was back in the 1970's, but here's a man not afraid to embrace new technology.

And of course, he can be funny without being mean:
Several years ago, he was late to a Judiciary Committee hearing and apologized saying "One of those things that I keep telling my colleagues: If they fully funded Amtrak, I would not be late. And some suggest that's why they don't fully fund Amtrak."

A really cool piece.

and reassuring choice. I think that will end up winning out over "In what respect, Churlie?" riskiness.
