LIGHTWORKERS for OBAMA - yep, they're VOTING BIG TIME this year!
I have a friend who is a "lightworker" and she has hundreds of lightworker friends, some of whom send me emails from time to time. A few of these people have really annoyed me in the past because they are so reluctant to get their hands dirty by getting involved in politics. I'm all for "sending positive energy" ~ and actually believe that the outpouring of hope and goodwill toward Obama from all around the world has been a big help. But I also believe in doing that very earthly thing called VOTING!

Anyway, here's the good news. I've been getting lots of emails from this network telling me to vote for Obama. There's even a group called Lightworkers for Obama at barackobama.com

Today, I came across this article: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/g/a/2008/06/06/notes060608.DTL

Another reason to believe that we have reached CRITICAL MASS!

2. I can vouch for that in my area of the country as well (NC)
Edited on Sat Sep-13-08 06:10 PM by SpankieJane
As a lightworker myself, I can attest to that -- everyone in my network is voting for Obama/Biden in November.

It appears to be like that all over the country as well. Granted this is only anecdotal, because I don't have the time or the ability to actually poll people correctly (although, given the recent spate of weird polls, I'm guessing "correctly" isn't exactly a standard applied these days).

6. Really? I was away in June when the article came out...
Guess it's not only Republicans who suffer from cynicism. I'm thrilled to know these networks are trying to get out the vote!

The primaries were still (kinda) going on then. You know what I mean.

I thought it was great then... and still do! :toast:

17. I just read the article.. Mark Morford went out
on a limb, too, even though it is San Francisco!

"Warning: If you are a rigid pragmatist/literalist, itchingly evangelical, a scowler, a doubter, a burned-out former '60s radical with no hope left, or are otherwise unable or unwilling to parse alternative New Age speak, click away right now, because you ain't gonna like this one little bit."

Thankfully, I'm none of those and was open to reading on..

I just heard about this Friday again at work and here you're posting an article on it by Mark Morford!

19. The article made me think of Indigo Children...
According to New Age belief, Indigo children are highly sensitive with a clear sense of self-definition and a strong feeling that they need to make a significant difference in the world. They are strong-willed, independent thinkers who prefer to do their own thing rather than comply with authority figures. They are empathic and can easily detect or are in tune with the thoughts of others, and are naturally drawn to matters concerning mysteries, spirituality, the paranormal and the occult, while opposing unquestioned authority and contradictory to convention. They tend to think outside the box, and are often referred to as "system busters." Indigos allegedly possess wisdom and level of awareness "beyond their years." They are also said to have a strong feeling of entitlement, or "deserving to be here." (wikipedia)

16. That speech was really special! Even volunteering for the campaign...
...has been uplifting for so many people ~ "staying in the high energy" is actually the rule (though they don't say it exactly like that).

20. He certainly has some major charisma...
When I volunteered to help out at a town hall meeting (in a high school gym) lots of people mentioned the heightened energy when he entered. Very interesting.

26. Obama has "a very well lighted eye "....
Edited on Sun Sep-14-08 01:00 PM by ClayZ
Cause and Effect

"This world and yonder world are incessantly giving birth: every cause is a mother, its effect the child.

"When the effect is born, it too becomes a cause and gives birth to wonderous effects.

"These causes are generation on generation, but it needs a very well lighted eye to see the links in their chain."

~ Jalal ad-Din Rumi 1207 - 1273 CE
