To Counteract Crazy "Obama Office" Threads
I received a call from the Obama campaign at about 2pm this afternoon. They have an office about eight blocks from my place. This is a new office coordinating the way people from this safe blue state can contribute to the effort in a nearby battleground state. They offered numerous volunteering opportunities that were needed locally, even though I've already been involved. These included phone banking, basic office work, and taking trips to the nearby battleground state every weekend through November 4, as well as a big push November 1-4. They had everything planned and organized perfectly.

I live in Chicago.

1. No major probs here in AZ that I'm aware of.
I think that since Obama has opened so many offices there are bound to be a certain percentage that have issues. It's a tightly managed campaign but an office is still only as good as the people staffing it.

2. What Crazy "Obama Office" Threads?
I was at that office your talking about, I think, and they are just regular folks using their personal cellphones and notebook computers, most of which have no experience or training at all. Who's belittling these people?

3. The ridiculous "depressing at Obama office" thread which is about OP's boobs believe it or not
It may be locked already. But there have been a couple of others about how Obama offices have been hard to find, etc.

12. Wow... that's a tough combo to hit well

If they were enormous AND perky, I'd probably notice them too.

But women are always staring at my crotch anyway.

4. Hey neighbor
I'm about 3 blocks from the office, and we're signed up to go to Michigan next weekend (still registering voters).

You're right about their being very organized. After stopping by, they rang us right away by phone to make sure they'd taken down all our proper contact info.

(If you need a ride, we may have two extra seats in our car.)

8. battleground states is where it's at....
We need help in southern Indiana.

Also, contacting media outlets in the battleground states would be a big help... anyone can do that. Do their online polls, too... they often report them on the nightly news.
