And I just couldn't take it anymore - I left my husband upstairs to wallow in the fact that the Bucs are way outta their league in this game - and came downstairs to do some work and take a DU check. I'm tired of watching Tressel's conservative play calling and that 2 quarterback shuffle just sucks -husband says it keeps USC on their toes - NOT! Ugh...looking forward to NFL ticket tomorrow!! 61. Very simple
Original Home Town: Miami
College: USC

I'm always most loyal to my earliest allegiance. My dad is a Canes alum and started taking me to Canes games in the late '60s, and throughout the '70s. They were mediocre teams at best, with a handful of great players like Ted Hendricks or O.J. Anderson. We never had any expectation of a major bowl game, let along 5 national titles and several near misses. So it's like an investment that paid off.

Naturally, Miami didn't become good until I enrolled in school across the country in the '80s.

Other than 1988 and 2002 and 2003, the two teams haven't been top contenders in the same year, and they have not played since 1968, so there's never been any problem with the dual rooting interest.

It will be hard to recover from this loss. But the old football bounces in funny ways. You never know. In terms of the BCS, its better to have a loss like this early in the season rather than later.
