1. Yeah, but do the knuckle draggers even care anymore? The genius |
|
of the McCain campaign is that they have no collective conscience. As the old saying goes "a lie can travel half way around the world, before the truth even gets it's shoes on". And the GOP is counting on the fact that most Americans just don't pay attention to detail.

2. But it doesn't match the ticket's "christian" image, does it? |
|
That's the McC/P campaign's Achilles heel. The more, and more that's pounded away at by Obama/Biden, the more credibility they will lose. The hypocrisy, lack of ethics and integrity, can lose them most of the independent voters if it's made BIG enough.
They are very vulnerable.

3. But the question remains, vulnerable to whom? The Christian Right |

in this country stopped caring about truth long ago, it's only winning that matters to them. My hope is that the 527's are geared up and ready to go, because soundbites and ads seem to be the only thing that get their attention. The McCain campaign is running an ad right now saying that Obama called Palin a liar, and this female voice says "that's just disrespectful". I'm hoping that our 527's, and the Obama campaign are equally ready to address this crap, and stop playing defense.

6. The "big win" in this would be to discredit the religious right along with them. |
|
I agree with you on the 527s. And the "disrespect" and "deference" statements lately are out of line for a democracy rather than a monarchy. It's very arrogant and insulting to American voters. I hope too, that the 527 attack forcefully on that.

4. The media is finally calling him out on it, which gets people's attention |
|
It sets the narrative that he is untrustworthy and lacking integrity. McCain's image is being tarnished finally

9. I hope you're right. I'm usually the last one to strike a pessimistic tone, but |
|
the buzz around my workplace is my barometer. People at work know that I'm a political junkie, and they always come to me with their elation and/or concerns, and since the Palin media frenzy, they're not talking to me about politics. I hope the Obama campaign has something in store for us to get the buzz back.
I agree with you about the media, they're finally doing the vetting that McCain obviously didn't. I just hope that there's something big in the works. Also, when does Joe Biden get a sitdown interview in prime time? I understand that Gibson was introducing Palin to the electorate, but is it just assumed that everyone already knows Joe? The Obama campaign could take a lesson from McCain's camp, and attack the media more? I don't know.........

5. The trolls got their "hate candy" of lies, will they change their minds now? |

Can the image created by the lies be broken now that McCain has given permission for those who wanted red meat to vote for him?

7. If McC loses his "honorable" image, he's finished, |
|
Voters who once thought he was honorable will feel conned. And McC gambled the chance of that very recklessly. I think unmasking both of them will work, but it will take drilling it in with lots of examples until it's just a "given" that everyone knows.
The media is doing better. And that, straightening out the facts, is its legitimate role after all.

10. We'll see if he can be sufficiently tarnished |
|
I sometimes think McCain would have to pork a donkey on TV to lose cred with some of the knuckleheads, good thing we only need a majority of the independents to win.

11. John McCain is going to be exposed during the debates. Watch |
|
the View segment and listen carefully when he gets challenged by Joy Behar. You can see that he wanted to smack her around. His facial and body expressions said it all. He also said something to the effect that "Obama is a very careful thinker...and he knew exactly what he was saying when he said lipstick on a pig." McCain is a man full of demons and piss. Even when Cindy was speaking he looked like he wanted to tell her to shut the F up. Not a good sign with six weeks remaining. Obama is playing the old geezer and I'm going to sit back and enjoy it.
