so I'm watching a Law and Order rerun. My 9 year anniversary is in a couple of days and my husband's still in Iraq, so I didn't think I could handle Joe's compelling story on top of my already fragile emotional state.
I'm glad that it's good though. Yeah. Just thinking about it has tears welling up in my eyes too. :( Poor Joe. What a good guy. I loved during his introduction at the convention when Beau said that his Dad, his brother and he all married Jill five years later. That was just so sweet and poignant. And yes, Jill is indeed a gem. Remember how she was asking, "Where's Beau? Where's Beau?" After the speech?
Oh Jeez. I don't even need to watch it to bawl.

this time around. Last time I thought that there was no way he'd end up back over there because I was sure Kerry was going to win. So, I only donated once, I was in Germany, so I couldn't go canvas or anything, but I didn't bother to talk to others about registering and making sure they voted. Not this time. This time I'm working my ass off.

Fucking machines in Ohio and all the other shady ass shit they pulled disenfranchising people and so on. I was thinking about that election today while I was making dinner for the kids and remembering how I kept getting up all night long to go and refresh my browser to see how the precinct/state reporting was going. It was horrible.

around repugs all over. i could feel a kerry win. there was no excitement for bush. they could feel the kerry win. i had a friend down from colorado. it was about 7 at night, and felt the shift. it was after they had the interview of the bush family in the yellow room, and he said something, i dont remember, and i knew then.... they had stolen it. i watched nv nm co and iowa all shift.
for sure tx and nm were stealing votes. the machines wouldnt let people vote for kerry. 2,3,4 times they would try to correct it and the kerry vote went to bush. started earlier voting and went on doing it, and reported thru election day
to this day people are not bothered by it. to me, it is so outrageous
so i am not worried how obama is running his campaign. people dont like mccain. i dont care what the polls say, we know from 2004 they are being manipulated to favor repug.... it is that we have to win enough, they cant steal enough

looks better as he gets older. I'm not saying he was a bad looking guy when he was younger, but he's just handsomer as an older man. A humility he didn't have when he was younger.
On edit - they just told the anneurism story, said he was a changed man after that hence the humility.

Hatchet Job on Joe, pure and simple.
The poorest man in the Senate is made to come off as a pariah…. While the scariest religious extremist woman picked for the 2nd highest office in the land by a 72 year old 4 time cancer survivor, Ms. Sarah of 5 schools in 5 years for 1 degree, comes off like cotton candy literally wrapped up in a flag.
CNN, owned by Time-Warner corporation failed once again at telling a balanced truth. Why is Biden’s GOP foe, Alex Castellanos, long time CNN resident GOP pundit even in this piece? Why do we care what this operative thinks of Joe Biden?
But this isn’t surprising and in fact is expected by those who took us to war in Iraq, corporate media.
But CNN failed. I’m voting for Obama and Joe in spite of CNN hard work.

35. I think she may be on CNN.... |
|
here is what I left for CNN-- I blanked out when I got there, and didn't list all of ther things he has done;
You know, I didn't watch Palin revealed, but everyone is telling me that compared to hers, you made Joe out to be a criminal. I think you took everything about Joe and turned it into something controversial, then left questions about him, on the table deliberately.
You failed to mention his violence against women act, which was extrodinary. You failed to mention the Biden crime bill. I have to think that you must be a republican, since you apparently sugar coated someone with ZERO experience to be a VP-or worse, a heartbeat away from the presidency. But I can honestly say, political parties aside, I would sleep better at night if it were Biden, who was a heartbeat away.....
I think CNN should pull this show, if you can't be balanced in the interest of both candidates.
Very ashamed of you, and CNN for approving this garbage.

CNN was harder on Palin!! Give me a fucking break! Here is what I said to her;
Debra; I don't know where you get your crack, but you are really smoking too much if you think they were hard on Palin. If she's going to be in this race, then she needs to be under the microscope too. She needs to be tough, and stop all the whinning BS. The fact that she is a female does not exclude her from being vetted. Get it?
I don't want this woman anywhere near the WH, and I, as a woman, think she is a danger to all women. CNN failed to ask her one tough question, so I guess you think she should just be alowed to waltz right to the V presidency without any scrutiny. NOT.
You are living in a fantasy world if you think McPalin will win this election, and that's the good news for the dems. You check the polls, and then when you're full, stay with that. That will make the shock of the McPalin loss even more devastating for you. I look forward to that.
