An idea for McCain yard signs. |
|
Go to the McCain headquarters and fork over a few dollars and buy one. Then get a can of red or white paint, depending on the color of the sign, and a paint brush and paint the word LIAR over it in big letters. Since you bought it, it's yours and you can do anything you want with it. If everybody put one of them in their yard, with or without an Obama sign, it would be the best way to get out the word everywhere that McCain is a liar and we know it.

1. Only downside to this, is McCain gets to use all of our money. |
|
There's got to be another place to get McCain signs without that happening.

They may Hate Obama. They may be a devoted Republican. They may be a Palin groupie. But they don't like McCain.

I saw one on I5 near the Terwilliger curves tonight. It was on an older Crown Victoria filled with four white haired old farts.

on a windy street in southern Oregon city. Oddly, there was an Obama yard sign there through the Primaries. It is still there, but the McCain sign has joined it. A divided house?
There is another one out near forest grove. Technically 2, one on each side of a drive way.
I saw my first McP bumper sticker on a truck outside of a Grocery Outlet store today (ironic, since gas must be killing them in the oversize truck, and they are shopping at a used food store).
But thats it. I have seen more Anti-Obama Printouts taped to car windows than Pro McP signs. I have seen more Ron Paul signs, even in the last month, than McP. Also seen more Hillary signs in the last month than McP. And Ive seen more Obama signs than all the others put together. I spend my days driving the area for work, so I see a lot of a lot.

I was having the same idea today, except with bumper stickers. Negative advertising is the way to go. I was thinking of printing up a couple of thousand "McCain = Liar!" and "McCain is Corrupt".

9. But... It might make us look bad... Hear me out- |
|
My husband made a good point. Passers- by might see the sign and think that some "horrible Democrats" defaced the poor McCain supporter's sign.
It sounds great, but it might have this unintended effect.

13. If it were defaced and in the yard of a true McCain supporter, they would have surely |
|
removed it after its defacing. The fact that it remains up shows that its not a McCain supporter and wasn't randomly defaced.
As for the scarcity of McCain yard signs, in the past week they have become quite predominant in my neighborhood, with many homes having a white "Family for McCain" type sign. I want to puke every time I drive by them and automatically flip the house the bird.
