palin's husband apparently belongs to the steelworkers' union?
rethugs apparently think this could work both ways for them
(couldn't quite follow the argument) maybe pull union members from O?
in any case, they've got a whisper smear campaign going on:
"Mention to your union friends that Obama wants to tax per diems..."
how counter this?

I hafta say, WHO THE HELL CARES!
The "leadership" may get per diems when they travel on Union business but for the local officials those times are few. To the rank and file it won't mean squat.
Is that the best they have?

my bf is IBEW - and he's on the road allt he time - per diems are what he eats off of. When he's back from Texas we're gonna have to a logn conversation about this stuff. If there's whisper campaigns he'd have heard them.
