Has McCain been put in his own "Bush bubble"?

In watching The View clip, it occurred to me that McCain seemed totally unprepared for being questioned on his attack ads and the less than supportive questioning he was getting. I'm beginning to think that he has been put into a "bubble" by his Rove handlers, much like Bush has been. I think he's been told that women are loving him and he was doing great with that demographic.

I also thought he seemed surprised that anyone would question the honesty of his ads. Either he doesn't know what is actually in his ads or was given bad information by his advisors or he hasn't seen all of the media reports of the fact-checking. I don't believe he has a real clue as to what is going on within his own organization or out in the public.

The only other explanation is that he's become delusional. He has said that he hasn't flip-flopped on one single issue, when that is so proveably true. That can only come from convincing himself that he hasn't changed positions. He isn't spinning on his position changes...he's outright declaring he has never changed positions.

I understand that we're seeing the "real" McCain now...the one that wants to win at all costs, but I also believe that by adding the Rove gang, he has been put in a bubble and is being led around by the nose. I think many aspects of his campaign have been taken out of his hands and the neocons are directing everything at this point. The scary part of that is that, should he actually win, these same people will again be running our country, only this time, they aren't even trying to hide what they're doing. They are blatantly shoving it in our faces.

He has no need of yesterday's truths.. What he said yesterday is of no import to him or us...
