WAPO: As Mayor of Wasilla, Palin Cut Own Duties, Left Trail of Bad Blood
Hey.... Sounds a lot tougher than being a community organizer in the windy city or a state rep. Don't it?
(Note Cynicism)

WASILLA, Alaska -- On Sept. 24, 2001, Mayor Sarah Palin and the City Council held their first meeting after the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. The council condemned the attacks and approved a $5,000 gift to a disaster relief fund. Palin said she would try to obtain materials from both attack sites to include in the town's "Honor Garden."

And then the council and mayor returned to their normal business: approving funds to upgrade the public well, issuing a restaurant permit and taking up a measure forbidding residents from operating bed-and-breakfasts in their homes. After a lively debate, the bed-and-breakfast measure lost, 4 to 1.

1. A lot like Bush in her cut throat demands for complete loyalty.
You're either with her 100% or you're against her and you are out of a job. Just like Bush, she surrounded herself with unqualified yes men who simply do her bidding. I think we can see where that mentality has gotten the country.

After reading more details about her responsibilities as mayor, I am NOT impressed. She took the salary and then hired a city manager to do the work SHE should have been doing. The earmarks that Mayor Porky Pig managed to grab are HUGE relative to the town's overall budget, and she still managed to leave the town in debt.
