Sarah Palin to Alaska: I’ll Be Back in November
http://news.bostonherald.com/news/2008/view.bg?articleid=1118956&srvc=2008campaign&position=4

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, who came to the friendly turf of her home state for her first campaign venture without John McCain, told supporters at a farewell rally yesterday that she’d return at the end of the campaign.

“We’ve got a little travel coming the next 52 days,” Palin, Alaska’s governor, told a cheering crowd of more than 2,000 gathered at the city convention center. “But I’ll be home in November and I’d really like to bring my friend,” she said, referring to McCain, the Republican presidential candidate.

Hours after the rally, at least 500 protesters turned out in Anchorage to demonstrate against Palin’s candidacy for vice president. It was the first public demonstration against Palin since she accepted McCain’s offer Aug. 2

2. Here's at least one guy who says the anti-Palin rally had more people than her little send-off
Never, have I seen anything like it in my 17 and a half years living in Anchorage. The organizers had someone walk the rally with a counter, and they clicked off well over 1400 people (not including the 90 counter-demonstrators). This was the biggest political rally ever, in the history of the state. I was absolutely stunned. The second most amazing thing is how many people honked and gave the thumbs up as they drove by. And even those that didn’t honk looked wide-eyed and awe-struck at the huge crowd that was growing by the minute. This just doesn’t happen here.

5. Who knew numbers could be so subjective...
I just finished reading a blog post that said that the anti-Palin rally had a minimum of 1400 people and the sendoff was much smaller than 2000. The thing is, which side is telling the truth?

10. The side telling the truth
is the side that did not lie about The Bridge to Nowhere, selling the jet on e-bay for a profit, terminating the chef, visiting Iraq, and the dozens of other blatant lies the Palinites tell on a daily basis. That would seem fairly obvious. The side telling the truth is the side without Palin and her religious liar squad.

Might Obama win Alaska? Arizona? I wouldn't give up on either one.

8. It's the Bush in her skirt that has some men salivating.
