Roughly half of American voters
Edited on Sun Sep-14-08 10:57 AM by IDemo
- Either do not know or care about the destruction which has occurred over the last 8 years to the US economy, the nations of Iraq and Afghanistan, the Constitution and separation of powers, and America's world reputation.

- Either do not know or care that the Gramps/Barracuda team promises to match or exceed that destructiveness.

- Either do not know or care that Governor Gidget, who will literally be a heartbeat away from having the power to order the launching of thermonookular warfare on Russia, is the dictionary definition of unqualified for the office.

- Either do not know or care that the McBush campaign is spewing polygraph-pegging lies about Senator Obama's record and policy positions, with little correction from the mainstream media.

- Believe, and want everyone they know to believe (with an endless flood of "forward this to everyone u know" emails) that Obama: is a Muslim (or is it Muslin?), isn't a Christian, hates America, will raise your taxes, will take away your guns, believes airing up your tires is all he has in his energy plan, and will embrace terrorists.

This election should not only not be close, it should be a landslide, visible from the International Space Station and applauded by the international community.

/rant against roughly half of Amurkin voters

1. We no longer teach people to think, therefore it's all emotion for these people
it's almost like they could just care less about the "issues". It's really incredible.

2. the "forward to everyone you know" thing is the key for me
I can volunteer on weekends for Obama, and I do. But as for the biggest impact I personally can make, it's getting the word out on the last fair frontier, the internet. I can forward emails all day and I think if we take our cues from the campaign and stick to those messages and send out emails debunking that bullshit, WE can counteract all those things you list. Some of us are on the computer all day, this is the most EFFICIENT way to use our time and resources.

4. Half of American voters
There are only 100 million voters. Of those, half are incurably ignorant. Another 100 million are children or otherwise unable to vote.

It's the third part of our population we need to reach.
