A Reason to Vote Against McCain That Even Dumb People Understand: He's a Wimp.
This is a theme that dumb people could understand. Americans don't like wimps.

But here we have a desperate, pathetic old man hiding behind a woman 30 years his junior, who's afraid to answer questions from the press. In fact, McCain himself has clammed up when it comes to the press, and even at his own campaign events he's now scared to speak for fear of getting upstaged by his unqualified running mate. McCain's canceled events where he was to speak alone, because he's too much of a wimp to show up without his teddy bear, Sarah Palin.

The Republicans turned Obama's celebrity status against him. The Dems should seize this opportunity to attack McCain's supposed "tough guy" status. He's not tough at all -- he's hiding behind his unqualified running mate, who's a wimp herself.

Don't let the wimps win!

2. Being called a coward is a sore spot with Mccain (there was a Keating 5 post around here that
mentioned this. O can't personally call it outright but can insinuate it, leave the real dirty dealings to 527's.

4. Somebody needs to hammer it home. They went full-bore on the "celebrity" thing, and it
caught on.

It's going to take more than insinuation to make this stick. Whether it's 527s or Obama himself, we need to make repeated attacks about McCain's lack of character.

3. Well, old reports from former POW's said he was called SongBird McCain..
He was such a pansy and didn't want to be hurt, he sung like a songbird. He's a wimp... Cry-Baby McCain... Cries that the media is being mean, and then goes and runs behind Palin's skirt.
