A look at The Campaign Trail for those Interested…
For those interested in taking a look from then til now...I understand for some they don't have the time but its a good idea to look back in order to plan for the future...I think its about time we change the game they wish us to play, no more allowing the media to control our decision making by allowing the television and talking heads to be paramount in how we come to understand all issues, ...

"The idea that you can merchandise candidates for high office like breakfast cereal is the ultimate indignity to the democratic process."

-Democratic candidate Adlai Stevenson, 1956

"Television is no gimmick, and nobody will ever be elected to major office again without presenting themselves well on it."

-Television producer and Nixon campaign consultant Roger Ailes, 1968

In a media-saturated environment in which news, opinions, and entertainment surround us all day on our television sets, computers, and cell phones, the television commercial remains the one area where presidential candidates have complete control over their images. Television commercials use all the tools of fiction film making, including script, visuals, editing, and performance, to distill a candidate's major campaign themes into a few powerful images. Ads elicit emotional reactions, inspiring support for a candidate or raising doubts about his opponent. While commercials reflect the styles and techniques of the times in which they were made, the fundamental strategies and messages have tended to remain the same over the years.

The Living Room Candidate contains more than 300 commercials, from every presidential election since 1952, when Madison Avenue advertising executive Rosser Reeves convinced Dwight Eisenhower that short ads played during such popular TV programs as I Love Lucy would reach more voters than any other form of advertising. This innovation had a permanent effect on the way presidential campaigns are run.

Interesting viewing of past political ads in above link….

its amazing how people have yet to catch on to the fact that the whole concept of using such is used in order to get to the citizens they believe stupid,

and when I say stupid, I mean the ones who refuse to take more than a moment that it takes to watch a commercial ad in order to make such important decisions as to that whom is a better leader for this country…

they do believe we are stupid don't ever doubt it, all of us, both right and left and those inbetween,

..and it should enrage us all…

To be honest I don’t believe a short ad will change the mind of an ignorant soul who’s soul reason to vote amounts to hating the other side…

they need a more hard hitting game play,

and you can only get such by forming a grass roots campaign and taking it to the streets..

make them listen, make them understand, make them realize what they don’t seem to be able to understand,

this is not about winning, this is about what is best for our country

and the bottom line is that Obama - Biden is what is best at this moment in time period and there is enough proof of that but those blinded by nothing more than wanting to win have to be hit with that truth and hit hard so that is what everyone should be doing every time you leave your house.….
