I can't believe how dumb some people are
I found this on the forum of an a.m. radio station that I'm listening to a football game on right now. I could not believe that this woman actually believes this.

The way I see it, the Democrats are attacking Palin so much because they are afraid she might help McCain win. I don't worry so much that I do not agree with all her views, because even if she has to take over for McCain, it is the Vice President's job to carry on the views of the person who was elected, not their own. If she is ever directly running for President, then her views matter more.

This is the kind of idiocy that pisses me off more than anything. Give me a break.

4. Um, you're talking about a nation that "elected" Bush twice
Yes, I know that Bush didn't actually WIN either of the last two elections. But the fact that tens of millions of people still voted for him is scary.

20. Did you actually read my post?
And did you notice that I put quotation marks around "elected"?

I noted that he didn't actually win either election. I was pointing out that tens of millions of Americans still voted for him.

21. Yes. I saw the quotes, too. I hate seeing the word Bush with the word elected in the same sentence.

6. That's nothing compared to this in today's Denver Post:

ARVADA — Trina Green said she worries about her lack of health insurance and the price of groceries. On her bookkeeper's salary, she needs cheaper gas to shuttle her baby and her 7-year-old around. She is concerned about the quality of her son's school and the war in Iraq.

And vice presidential pick Sarah Palin is making her take a second look at voting for John McCain.

"She's not soured; she's not influenced yet," said Green, a registered independent in Jefferson County, a key battlefield where there is a roughly equal measure of independent voters compared with Republicans and Democrats. "She's young, she's vital. You can see the life coming out of her. Our schools need help. Maybe because she's a young mom, she'll have some ideas about that."

http://www.denverpost.com/politics/ci_10457815

Obviously, this idiot knows NOTHING of what Sarah Palin thinks about healthcare, schools or Iraq. But she'll vote for her because she's a mom.

What a fucking dumbass.

18. I am very afraid she does have ideas about how to run our schools...
... into the ground. Teaching creationism, abstinence only sex ed, and banning books are BAD ideas.

13. People are Dumb.
Edited on Sun Sep-14-08 05:18 PM by MoToR
I had stopped last Monday evening at the local Obama Headquarters. While there, I picked up a couple yard signs as I felt my neighborhood could use some Hope. After I came home I started to put the sign in the ground and before I could get it set, my neighbor came running full speed down his steps to inform me that if I kept the sign in the boulevard/easement, he would call the township.

This led to a nice political discussion which needed to be discussed further at the local pub. We spent about 2 hours at the pub discussing the issues, and he agreed that in the majority of instances Obama would better represent his interests. However, he said it was just talk and even though Obama talked a good game, he would never fulfill his promises. On top of this, he says Obama would be probably be assassinated anyhow. At the end of our discussion he said he would skip the presidential vote.

This thought lasted in his mind until Thursday. I had just finished mowing my lawn, reset the Obama sign, when out comes my neighbor running again to stick a Mcsame sign in the lawn. Not in the lawn directly in front of his house, but on his narrow 2 foot piece of property on my side of his driveway. The act was childish and I was actually embarrassed for him. The man has been unemployed for nearly a year, mid 50's and lost his whole retirement savings of 25 plus years of employment in the WorldCom disaster. His prospects of finding sustainable employment are slim to none. He has his Alzheimer suffering father living with him and sees the direct effect of our lackluster health care system.

Despite all of this, he will not vote for the person he feels best represents his ideals. I can believe how dumb people are; I see it every day.

15. Well, of COURSE it's the vice president's job to carry on the views of the predecessor.
The Founding Fathers made that very clear, right about the same time they inserted "under God" into the Pledge of Allegiance!
