Should McCain's lead in national polls really bother us......
when he leads by almost 40% in Idaho, about 30% in Utah, about 20% in South Dakota, Georgia, Mississippi?

This bounce is the sound of a lot of Fundies in the backwoods states coming home.

It doesn't matter if McCain's leads go from strong to landslide in these states but they still only the same amount of electoral votes. These states were never swing states, so why worry?

In the meantime the 3 states that likely will make the hugest difference: Colorado, New Mexico and Iowa have all withstood the bounce and remain in Barack's column -some argument that Colorado might actually be leaning McCain from some polls but not in others, considering the turnout for the big speech, CO seems like it's ours.

at this to the fact that if Ohio or Virginia or North Carolina or Indiana go Obama it's all over and all those states are close right now and could easily tip with a good GOTV program.

Besides, the bounce has already fizzled to a 2 point lead in Gallup (within the margin of error). Obama's back in the lead in some others.

Add to this the great reports we are getting from volunteers all over -especially my state! CA about epic turn out at volunteer meetups. Imagine literally thousands of Californians descending -or rather, ascending up the mountains into Nevada to GOTV. Have we heard and reports yet from NY about New Yawkahs going down into Viriginia to get some more kids registered or go door knocking?

McGrumpy is in trouble.
