1. More like a national I.Q. test |

I see your point though. Maybe more people loved the chimp then we thought and believe he was doing a terrific job.
I fear November 4th. Fear that my worst notions about this country will be confirmed.

I think a lot of Americans are considering both campaigns to be a fresh start from Bush. McCain/Palin are marketing themselves as mavericks, and a lot of people are buying it. Obama needs to do a better job of tying McCain to Bush.

6. The problem is that a lot of people make their decisions based on perceptions, not facts |

McCain has been crafting his "maverick" label for many years. At one time, he may have been one. But now anymore, and Democrats need to change that spin.

If the public is mis-informed, do you think the mass-media is gonna enlighten them?

8. The Republicans always do it by having coordinated talking points |
|
Everyone comes out on Sunday morning and says the same thing. They really hammer it home. Obama and the Democrats need to have a well orchestrated campaign and flood the airwaves, both in ads and in talk shows.
That's how Bush labeled Kerry as a flip-flopper. It wasn't a fair label, but it stuck.

9. They have brainwashing down to a science.... |

If we can't influence media to once again do their jobs and be the free press, I'm hoping the hype of McCain being ahead in the polls and all the Palin hoopla will keep the less-informed voters who would vote against Obama (as opposed to for McCain-Palin) home.
