2. If they polled wolves, her numbers would sink even lower.
I don't care for her politics one iota.

Her political style is at least as bad or worse.

I don't care for her voice or her eyeglasses or her damn church either.

10. She's a Hard Hearted Hanna
She sees taking over the reigns in Alaska as a way to get rid of people that don't agree with her and replace with her crony friends who are Yes people and then calls it getting rid of corruption??

Palin has a smartass mouth but is real short on honor and smarts.

11. Yes. She's quick with the sarcastic pre-written put-down
but the record up there in Alaska doesn't support her as a very nice person.

13. Pushing her lies (and McC's) is working!
That's a hopeful sign. But it needs constant push until they're tanked.

People need to see they're 100% lying about being reformers. McC cleaned up his image after the Keating 5 with McCain-Feingold etc., but he has reverted right back to his Keating-self again now. He's the Lobbyist Express, and blatantly lying about it.

The only thing he knows how to reform is his image.

Btw, I'm in the DC/VA market and I just saw on tv a short ad about McCain's temperament and "the red button" (from some 527-ish group which I didn't catch the name of). Good!

20. Problem is that people don't vote for the VP
I think Palin's biggest impact is that she got the base in line and moved the undecideds in the base firmly into the McCain camp. Hence we're seeing McCain pull ahead in a lot of red states where Obama and McCain were both previously about even but generally both under 45%.

24. I should've said undecided voters or swing voters don't vote for the VP
Having a right wing nutjob in the number 2 spot is the kind of thing that the GOP base would turn out to vote for.

33. Some very interesting info looking back at the history of the data.
http://www.dailykos.com/dailypoll/2008/09/14 <-- subtract 1 from that last number for each day you want to see until "11"

DATE CANDIDATE FAV UNFAV NO OPINION
09/11 PALIN 52 35 13
09/12 PALIN 51 37 12
09/13 PALIN 49 40 11
09/14 PALIN 47 42 11

DailyKos is using Research 2000's tracking data.

In the interest of fairness and clarity, here are McCain, Obama and
Biden's numbers from the same source.

DATE CANDIDATE FAV UNFAV NO OPINION
09/11 MCCAIN 55 44 1
09/12 MCCAIN 56 43 1
09/13 MCCAIN 55 43 2
09/14 MCCAIN 53 44 3

DATE CANDIDATE FAV UNFAV NO OPINION
09/11 OBAMA 56 40 4
09/12 OBAMA 57 41 2
09/13 OBAMA 55 41 4
09/14 OBAMA 54 39 7

DATE CANDIDATE FAV UNFAV NO OPINION
09/11 BIDEN 51 30 19
09/12 BIDEN 52 31 17
09/13 BIDEN 50 32 18
09/14 BIDEN 49 33 18

Everybody but Palin has suffered a 2 point drop in favorablity. Palin has taken a 5 point drop over the same period with the same demographics. Ouch! McCain's unfavorablity is more or less unchanged. Obama has improved slightly, and Biden is the best but trending up which is not good. Still, even with the trend, Biden seems to be the best liked when you gage Fav vs Unfav.
