NJ is exactly the type of state where Palin hurts badly. In addition, even here in NJ there has been a major shift downward for Bush from 2004 to now. If people's minds were where they are now in 2004, it would not have been just +7. The likelihood is that any other Republican would be even lower - and as people more and more see he is not the 2000 McCain, it will go lower. (Other Democrats repeating variations of those parts of Kerry's convention speech should help.)
