Is this true? Bob Barr only Candidate in Texas |
Found this online:
"Both Republicans and Democrats failed to file their candidates for the ballot according to Texas Election Law. Now, while that sounds like bad news for both parties, it really isn't. According to the majority of polling, Barack Obama had very little chance to win Texas. The electoral votes in Texas add up to 34. You may see where I am going with this. If Barack Obama and his supporters draw attention to Texas, the law may be upheld and Bob Barr will be the only man on the ticket, thus making it 34 points harder for John McCain to win the election. That's like Barack losing California, an instant kill. So let's push for 3rd party equality and welcome he Libertarian candidate in Texas as a way for Barack Obama to win in November. This skyrockets our own odds and would make the trip to the White House, so much more comfortable."

6. So, you have heard about this? |
I doubt Barr will have any success without a vocal group of supporters...

3. Well, I haven't seen anything about it |
so I figured I'd ask. No need to be insulting about it. If it's not true then it's not.

9. According to Bob Barr website |
it is true and he press released it http://www.bobbarr2008.com/press/press-releases/108/barr-only-presidential-candidate-on-texas-ballot/Texas has however got both McCain / Palin and Obama / Biden on the list of candidates. So if it is true Barr should sue.

4. No, not true, under Texas law, the major party (D & R) winners of |
a primary are automatically on the GE ballot. Both parties filed anyway, and they also have the right to amend the ticket (ie add a running mate name)
